FOSH will be hosting its annual Celebration of Animals event on Sunday, October 5th, in Leland Avenue Park (located on Leland Avenue, adjacent to Cook School).
The gathering will begin at 1:30pm with blessings beginning at 2pm. Representatives from local religious and spiritual traditions will offer blessings for all animals.
If your pet will be uncomfortable in this environment (in a crowd and with other animals), please leave him/her at home and bring a photo or favorite toy instead.
Please note: All dogs must be on a leash or in a carrier and all cats must be in a carrier (for their safety and ours).
Water will be available for all animals and light refreshments will be served to their humans after the blessings. Attendance is free, but donations are welcomed as they’re used to support various animal initiatives taking place throughout the Plainfield community.
