On Saturday, January 17th, Mayor Adrian Mapp and First Lady Amelia Mapp invite you to their home to celebrate the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. There will be a food collection, as well as a Potluck dinner to share.

Non-perishable food items are being collected for the Shiloh Baptist Church Food Pantry. All food must be in cans, plastic jars, or boxes – no glass jars, candy or perishable items. Here are foods that they can accept:
- Meats/Fish – Ham, Lunch Meat, Corned Beef, Corned Beef Hash, Tuna, Salmon, Mackerel, Sardines, etc.
- Pastas, Soups & Stews – Spaghetti, Ravioli, Chicken Soup, Beef Stew, Pasta Sauces, Tomatoe Sauce, etc.
- Fruits – Peaches, Pears, Pineapple, Fruit Cocktail, Apple Sauce, etc.
- Vegetables – Green Beans, Corn, Collards, Mixed Veggies, Green Peas, Turnips, Spinach, Tomatoes, etc.
- Starches – Yams, Sweet Potatoes, White Potatoes, Dry Beans, Lima Beans, Pork & Beans, etc.
- Boxed Items – Mashed Potatoes, Macaroni & Cheese, Rice (white, long grain, flavored), Pastas/Noodles, Cornbread Mix, Muffin Mix, Pancake Mix, Bisquik, etc.
- Cereal (Cold & Hot) – Corn Flakes, Cheerios, Chex, Granola, Oatmeal, Cream of Wheat, Grits, Instant Oatmeal, etc. (no sugary cereals)
- Other Items – Granola Bars, Cereal Bars, Microwave Pop Corn, Peanut Butter, Jelly, Jello, etc.
