I’m reaching out to see who would be interested in participating in a CSA this summer for farm fresh fruits, veggies, and eggs. I’ve attached some information below regarding the program so you can research and learn more about this CSA. The farm has a 31 week CSA program available and was looking to doing a 20 week program starting in mid-July. If we can organize a group of 20 people that will enable us to get free delivery. I will coordinate drop-off at my house (313 Franklin Place) every Tuesday and then your shares can be picked up from there.

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. The basic idea of CSA farming is a cooperative relationship between the farmer and his customers. Based on an annual commitment to one another, community members provide a pre-season payment to purchase a “share” of the season’s harvest. The member then receives a weekly box of a wide variety of fresh vegetables and fruit through the growing season, harvested at the peak of ripeness and flavor. You’ve heard of the benefits of buying local – now we’re offering you a great way to enjoy fruits and vegetables grown right here in Chester and have the opportunity to make an investment in these locally grown foods, which in turn helps to keep New Jersey green!

CSA Delivery to Plainfield – over a course of 20 weeks. Start Date – July 14 (Tuesday Delivery Day) through Nov 25 (Delivery the Tuesday before Thanksgiving).
Prices: You can always bump up your share but you can’t reduce it
- Full share – $1050 ($52.50/week) 30lbs of produce
- Half share – $650 ($32.50/week) 15 lbs of produce
- Personal Share – $550 ($27.50/week) 5-8 items per week
- Farm Fresh Brown Eggs 1 Doz – $70.00 ($3.50/week)
All payments go directly through Alstede Farms. Payments are made in full during signup. With 20 participants, we can get free drop off in Plainfield. Rich will provide a safe drop off location where items can be picked up.
